Granny Horror: five days in the house
Granny is the 2017 mobile horror game by DVloper in which you wake up trapped in an old woman's house and have five days to escape. DVloper never released a browser version, so pages promising "Granny unblocked" load copies of varying honesty. What plays on this site is Granny Horror, a 2025 browser game by Azgames.io built around the same idea — and it says so here plainly. It is served from this domain, so it does not depend on a third-party site staying up.
The setup is simple and cruel. The house is dark, the floorboards creak, and Granny patrols it with a bloody bat. She is nearly blind but she hears everything: a door slammed, a vase knocked over, an item you drop on the floor. Every noise pulls her towards it. If she catches you, the day ends and you wake up again, one day fewer on the clock. After five days the game is over.
The way out is locked in layers. You find keys, tools and codes scattered through drawers, cabinets and hidden corners, and each one opens the next door, padlock or shortcut. Before you start you can tune the run: Normal difficulty adds a chance at a bonus day, Extra locks puts more locks on the exit, Nightmare makes Granny harsher, and Dark mode turns the lights down further.
Controls & mechanics
| Action | Control | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Look around | Mouse | Click inside the game first so it captures the mouse; Esc gives it back |
| Walk | W A S D | Walking is quieter than you think — dropping things and slamming doors is what she hears |
| Pick up / use | Walk up to an item or door and use the on-screen prompt | You carry one thing at a time; putting it down makes a sound |
| Hide | Get under a bed or into a cabinet | Granny walks past a hiding place if she did not see you go in |
| Escape a bear trap | Hold F | The trap snaps loudly — get out fast, she is already on her way |
| Options | Before each run | Difficulty, Extra locks, Nightmare, Dark mode, music and graphics quality |
How to survive five days with Granny
- Noise is the enemy: Granny reacts to sound, not sight. Close doors gently, never drop items in the middle of a room, and walk around creaky spots once you know them.
- Learn one room per day: The first day is for learning the layout, not escaping. Open every drawer in one area, note where the locks are, and hide before she reaches you.
- Always know your hiding spot: Before you search a room, pick the bed or cabinet you will dive into. When she hears you, you have seconds, not time to look for one.
- Stash, do not carry: You hold one item at a time. Leave the ones you need later near the lock they open — quietly, in a corner she does not walk through.
- Bear traps are alarms: Stepping in one costs time and makes noise. Hold F straight away and move on before she arrives.
- Use the difficulty honestly: On Normal you may earn a bonus day. Try Extra locks or Nightmare only after you have escaped once and know the route.
Key features
- Five days to get out: Each time Granny catches you a day is gone; lose all five and the run ends.
- A house full of locks: Keys, tools and a padlock code hidden across rooms, each opening the next step.
- She hears everything: Dropped items, doors and traps all bring her running — sound is the whole game.
- Run options: Normal difficulty, Extra locks, Nightmare and Dark mode change how hard the house is.
- Granny Horror 2 as well: The sequel adds her husband to the house, on its own page here.
- Browser only: Unity WebGL, served from this site: no download, no plugin, runs on a Chromebook.

Pro tip: When you hear Granny coming, do not run for the far door — run for the nearest bed. Being under it before she enters the room matters far more than how far away you are.
