Guess Who? unblocked: play Guess Who? online free right here in your browser — no download, no sign-up, works on a school Chromebook.

Guess Who? is a digital take on the classic deduction board game: a grid of 24 cartoon faces, one hidden identity, and an opponent who is trying to work out yours before you work out theirs. Here the opponent is the computer, so there is nothing to set up and no second person needed. It sits oddly, and nicely, next to a shelf of horror and escape games, because it is the one page where nobody is chasing you and the only tension is a slowly narrowing field of suspects.

A game is short. You pick which character you will be, the CPU secretly does the same, and then you trade yes-or-no questions. Each answer lets you rule out part of the board, and the first side to name the other's character wins. Rounds are quick enough to play between longer sessions of Granny Horror or Five Nights at Freddy's, when you want something calm.

How to play

This one is played with the mouse or a finger, not the keyboard, so the usual arrow-key and WASD controls you may see on other pages do not apply. Click Play, choose your character when the game asks you to, and then wait for your turn. On your turn the game prompts you to choose a question from the box below the board.

The questions are a fixed list of fifteen, all about appearance: whether the character is male, wears glasses, has a moustache, bunny ears, a bandana, a hair band, earrings, a tie or a necklace, is bald, has a beard, has blonde, black or brown hair, or has an open mouth. When it is the CPU's turn, a panel shows what it asked about your character, and you answer honestly.

Tips

  • Open with the question that splits the board closest to half. Whether the character is male is the broadest on the list; rarer traits like bunny ears or a bandana only remove a few faces if the answer is no.
  • Think about the answer in both directions. A "no" to a common trait such as black hair can eliminate more faces than a "yes" to a rare one.
  • Keep track of which traits you have already covered, since the list is short and repeating a question wastes a turn.
  • Pick a character yourself with a few common traits. Someone with a rare feature, such as bunny ears, is easy for the CPU to isolate quickly.

Nothing else here plays quite like it. Granny Horror and Granny Horror 2 are first-person sneak-and-escape games where you are hunted. Forgotten Hill: Surgery and Forgotten Hill: The Wardrobe are point-and-click puzzle adventures, and are the closest in spirit, since they also reward careful thought over fast reactions. Friday Night Funkin' is rhythm-based and entirely about timing.

Guess Who? suits short sessions, plays fine on a phone because it only needs taps, and runs in the browser with nothing to install.
