OvO is a fast, one-screen-at-a-time platformer starring a stick figure who treats every obstacle as a parkour line. You run, jump, slide and vault across a series of short stages full of ramps, gaps, spikes, saw blades and awkward ledges, and the aim is simply to reach the end of each one without hitting anything. It is far closer to a momentum platformer than a driving game, whatever its category label suggests.

A typical session is a string of very short attempts. You fail, restart instantly, and shave a little more hesitation off the same tricky section until it flows. How to play

Steer left and right with the arrow keys or A and D. Press Up or Space to jump or accelerate, and tap a key to restart the moment you crash. On a phone you tap and swipe instead.

The game is about carrying speed. Running up a ramp and jumping at its lip sends you much further than jumping from a standstill, and the later stages are built around chaining those launches together. Most of the difficulty comes from timing rather than from complicated controls.

Tips

• Do not hold the run key blindly. On sections with spikes right after a landing, let go and take a short, controlled step.
• Jump late from ramps. Taking off right at the edge preserves the most height and distance.
• When one obstacle keeps killing you, stop and watch what it does for a couple of cycles before your next attempt. Many traps repeat on a fixed rhythm.
• If your hands tire, take a minute off. Mistakes in a precision platformer usually come from tense fingers, not bad planning.
